Aspen, January 29th, 2023

Thomas Pierce hosted the first edition of the Aspen Snow Ball in support of Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and the launch of Children’s Oncology Support fund (COSF) founded by Pierce. The event was hosted by Oscar winner and honorary chair Marcia Gay Harden, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation founder and honoree Denise Rich, and COSF’s founder Thomas Pierce. Made possible with the generous support of presenting partner Chopard, and co-presenting sponsors Farfetch and Weber Boxer Group. The “black-tie fantasy” event was held at the St. Regis Aspen, the experience transported guests to an immersive “Narnia” featuring a cocktail reception with a silent auction, a gala dinner program with a live auction of exclusive bucket list experiences, artwork, and fine jewelry conducted by Jamie McDonald. Guests enjoyed a surprise opening performance by musical artist Asher Monroe, a very special performance by Diana Ross and Macy Gray opened the after party. 

International philanthropists, celebrities, and notable guests from all over the world helped raise $2.5 millions dollars in support of COSF’s launch and dedication to the development of more effective therapies for pediatric cancer patients. This fundraising gala was made possible by the generosity of our supporting partners and sponsors: Chopard, Farfetch, Weber Boxer Group, Champagne Bollinger, Casa Del Sol, Desolas Mezcal, DAOU Family Estates, The Snow Lodge Aspen, The St. Regis Aspen, Aero, Hendricks, and Lugano Diamonds.

Sponsors offered four days of events across Aspen. Starting with Thursday’s Kick-off Welcome Party hosted by Chopard at AspenX Mountain Club. Friday Lugano Diamonds hosted a Shop & Sip for charity event in their salon, followed by an epic aprés ski party at the St. Regis with a special set by Bob Moses. The VIP Night Before Dinner for VIP donors took place at Snow Lodge Aspen hosted by Casa Del Sol. Sunday FARFETCH and Aero teamed up to celebrate the women behind Aspen Snow Ball with a ladies luncheon at PARC Aspen.
